Praises be! It's My Sweet Lord - a life-sized figure of Christ made entirely of chocolate! The artist, Cosimo Cavallaro, whose preferred medium is food, planned to unveil the sculpture in New York City to coincide with Holy Week. However, the chocolate Jesus was quickly crucified by an outpouring of anger, hate and death threats from so-called Christians who failed to grasp the meaning and true reverence underlying his work.For Americans, Easter is the second most important candy-eating occasion of the year and they will spend $2 billion to consume 90 million chocolate Easter bunnies and 700 million marshmallow peeps. Talk about reverence.
